The CHOP! cooking classes and held the first Saturday of every month, May through September. The classes are designed to give kids a hands-on experience learning about fresh, locally grown food that is in season and available at the Boise Farmers Market. The CHOP! chef gathers an assortment of produce that is in season from the farmers at the Market. Kids choose a recipe from the CHOP! cookbook. Once the ingredients are chosen they chop, blend and mash to create the recipe of their chose.
CHOP! chef, Tamara Sloviaczek, co-author of the Chop, Blend & Mash Cookbook facilitates the programs, encouraging the children to try new foods and make healthy choices.
